The "Round Hohenwart" route is a classic forest loop in southern Pforzheim, the city's highest district on the Biet plateau. Start is on Schonbornstrasse at the last houses of Hohenwart, just before Hohenwart Forum. From Schellbronn, you reach the start in about 15 minutes by car; from Pforzheim, follow Schonbornstrasse uphill.

Just behind "Peters Ranch" you enter Hagenschiess forest. Via Hasenackerweg and Wolfsgrubenweg, you reach the historic Wolfsgrube, a 17th-century natural monument from the period when wolves still roamed after the Thirty Years' War. From here there are views into the Wurm valley toward medieval Liebeneck Castle.
The route continues on Grenzweg to Hohenwarter Heuweg and Heuwegbrunnen spring, then uphill through Hohholz to Sauwasenbrunnen. At the forest edge it goes to Hamberger Tor and back into the woods via Schellbronner Strasse; Alte Kirchenweg, Eselsweg and Hofackerweg lead up to Hohe Warte.
At Hohe Warte (573 m above sea level), the wooden observation tower no longer stands, but in clear weather the viewpoint still opens toward Nagold and Kapfenhardt valleys. The descent follows Unterreichenbacher Strasse and upper Klebweg past wetland biotopes to Dreimarksteinschlag.

On the return, Wildmauer, an 18th-century natural monument, and Waldbronn spring await before heading back to Schonbornstrasse. The route is around 10.7 km, medium difficulty, and usually takes about 2 hours 45 minutes.
The GPX track with interactive map is on ferienpark-schellbronn.de, importable into Komoot, Outdooractive or any navigation app. Detailed route notes and elevation profile are available on ich-geh-wandern.de (CC BY-SA, author Sigi2910). Bring sturdy shoes and snacks; the loop combines well with a Wolfsgrube stop or a shorter variant toward Hamberg.
