Jubilee trail Neuhausen — loop through all four districts
Newly signposted jubilee trail on the Biet plateau: from Monbachhalle through Schellbronn, Hamberg and Steinegg — chapels, castle ruins and forest views.
For the 2025 municipal anniversary Neuhausen in the Enzkreis re-signposted the Jubilee Trail — recognisable by the golden heart on a black background. The varied circular hike links all four districts: Neuhausen, Schellbronn, Hamberg and Steinegg. The starting point is Monbachhalle in Neuhausen.
From there the route first follows the Ostweg towards Monbach valley, crosses Monbachstraße at the "100 Years Ostweg" memorial stone and follows the blue diamond through the forest to Schellbronn. Just before the village, a detour to the pavilion at Hartäcker on the forest climate trail rewards you with views into Monbach valley. In Schellbronn the route passes St Nicholas church.
In Hamberg forest a shorter loop is worthwhile on its own: Fliegerbrunnen (locally Dollbrunnen) at Dollbronner Klinge, the unmanned Hegarhütte and the Schwarzer Brunnen biotope with pond and benches — about one hour from Hamberg sports ground. On the jubilee trail you pass the same places on the larger municipal arc.
Continuing on the jubilee trail the path leads through Hamberg forest to the forester's house and village centre with church and St Wolfgang chapel. In Steinegg you reach the forest chapel, Steinegg castle ruins and St Wendelin chapel with wide views. Back in Neuhausen, St Urban and Vitus parish church, Kerker-Christi chapel and historic St Sebastian chapel lead the loop back to Monbachhalle.
The jubilee trail suits families who want to combine nature, history and the Biet hillside in one day. From Schellbronn Monbachhalle is a few minutes by car.
